Dear Troy Residents:
This November 5, I am asking for your vote to elect me to Troy City Council.
By all accounts, Troy is an amazing place to live, work, and play. As a community, we can be proud that we have come together to earn an outstanding “safest city” rating, protected assets such as the Community Center and Troy Public Library, and created a climate inviting to business. Troy is a benchmark city for outstanding resources and services delivered at a low millage rate.
As a twenty-four year resident of Troy, I have a passion for Troy and its community. I have spent years working as a volunteer for various community groups, helping to make Troy an outstanding place.
As a Council member, I will build upon those volunteer experiences and also bring years of professional experience earned in both the private and public sectors. I'll work to be an effective steward of our tax dollars, the city’s public safety, infrastructure, assets, and, most importantly, Troy's reputation.
I'll work hard to move Troy forward, to ensure that decorum and civility are the rule, not the exception. I'll work hard to bring a politically independent voice to the City Council and listen to all the perspectives on each issue. I'll work hard to build trust and ensure transparency in our government.
I'm asking for your vote because I am an independent with a proven track record to do what is right for Troy’s taxpayers. I will always act to protect our most important investment – our homes.
My bottom line is this: Serving on City Council is about protecting Troy’s personal and commercial property values to protect your bottom line.
I am asking for your vote November 5, 2013 so I can do exactly that.
